Business Strategy
I have worked in the enrollment management industry for the past 6 years. Over the years, I have helped many colleges/universities across the US to achieve their enrollment and financial targets by using cutting-edge data-driven business models.
Currently, I lead a team of analysts that oversees approximately $400 millions in financial grants. For more specific information, please feel free to get in touch with me by filling out the contact form at the end of this page.
Data Science
Data science is truly a fascinating field. The intersection of statistics, computer science, and data story telling is what makes it unique than any other fields. It is a powerful tool to have for anyone who wants to compete in the 21st century job market.
I have placed my personal data science projects in this website. Please feel free to explore them at your convenience!
Public Policy
As a student at Georgetown, I have enjoyed taking some public-policy related classes from the analytics program and from the McCourt School of Public Policy. In addition, I was part of a team of finalists in the annual Georgetown Public Policy Challenge (Spring 2020).
About
My name is Vid Chan. I am originally from Pursat, Cambodia. When I was 16 years old, I was one of the 7 high school students in Cambodia who got selected to receive a full two-year scholarship to study abroad at United World Colleges. I was assigned to United World College South East Asia in Singapore. After Singapore, I received a full-scholarship again to attend Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN where I experienced sub-zero temperature for the first time in my life! Upon graduation from college, I got a job and stayed in MN for 4 more years.
I moved to Washington, DC in June of 2018. I am currently working full-time as a senior analyst in the enrollment services division at EAB- an education technology consulting firm.
In addition to working at EAB, I am currently a graduate student in data science and analytics at Georgetown University. I am going to graduate in December 2020.
